In ancient China, a husband and wife, both of them retired superheroes, contend with the high cost of living, infertility, and other contemporary life issues. Middle-aged superheroes “Jiong Jiong Xia” (who shoots deadly lightning from his eyes) Nie Huan (Louis Koo) and “Xiang Xiang Xia” (who wields aromatic weapons of mass destruction) Xiaohong (Sandra Ng) have grown tired of their life of violence. After getting married, the super-couple decides to retireed from the martial world altogether and live in seclusion in a remote village. At first, they are happy to waste their superpowers on the mundane household chores. But after a few years, they’re nearly bored to deadly by the uneventful life that should belong to ordinary folks. So when they hear that the upcoming Martial World Assembly is going to be held in their very village, both of them are itching to make their long-awaited comeback!

To promote the film and tourism and Hong Kong, a 3D animated film showing the two lead actors from the film was released. Mr. & Mrs. Incredible was set to open in Australia, China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, New Zealand and Singapore on February 2, 2011. It was released on February 3, 2011 in China and Hong Kong. Mr. & Mrs. Incredible grossed $630,199 on its opening week in Hong Kong and placed fifth in its weekend box office and has since grossed a total of $1,032,487.

Film Business Asia gave the film a five out of ten rating, stating "the comedy is not sustained enough, or broad enough, to inspire real laughs rather than just smiles, and the action is largely crammed into the final 15 minutes with the sudden appearance of a plot and a super-villain."^[4] Variety gave the film a positive review, praising the script and comparing the two leads to William Powell and Myrna Loy.<sup>[6]
